A man has been ordered to pay £750 compensation to his partner after he admitted attacking her with an orange.
Martin Wood was also told to pay a Good Samaritan passer-by he headbutted during a rampage of "sheer lunacy" £250.
Wood, 44, hurled the fruit in the face of Rebecca Moore because he didn't like the way she was looking at him before storming out into the street.
Wood and Ms Moore, who had been in a relationship for a number of years, had a row over one of their children which led to Wood losing his temper and flying into a rage.
Fiscal depute Jim Eodanable told Perth Sheriff Court: "He picked up a nearby orange and threw it at the complainer, hitting her around the tongue area.
"He stood up and moved towards her and with the heel of his open palm he hit her on the right temple, and at the same time he was spitting in her face.
"Passers-by heard her distress and stopped. The accused asked what they were staring at and immediately thereafter headbutted him on the face."
Wood also admitted butting Andrew Scott - a stranger who was passing and heard the noise from the house - on the face to his injury in Errol, on 27 December.
He then drove off from his girlfriend's home in his Mazda Tribute, with his son in the car, and when police arrived at his former home in Inchture, Perthshire, Wood kicked off again.
He admitted failing to co-operate with a preliminary breath test and also lashing out with his hands and feet at police officers.
