One man and one woman died after a fire on Park Avenue in Dundee this morning.
Emergency services were called to the scene at around 7am and witnesses say the flat occupants had to be pulled out of the building before receiving CPR.
Shaun Rowan, who lived directly downstairs, was the one who raised the alarm with police.
He described the moment a black hole appeared in his ceiling and smoke started pouring through.
Henry Stewart lives in the same block.
He describes the moment he realised the building was on fire.
A police cordon was put in place until around 1pm and all residents of the block have been evacuated.
A Dundee City Council spokesperson said: “Homeless support officers have been on site and are offering advice and support to residents.”
