Fire At Dundee Nursery

Scottish Fire and Rescue Service responded to a fire at a Dundee nursery earlier this morning.

There was blaze at Techno Tots in the Wester Gourdie Industrial Estate in Dundee at 6.30am.

Two appliances from MacAlpine Road, one from Blackness Road, one from the Kingsway and the Command Support Vehicle from Blackness Road attended the scene of the fire within the one storey premises.

A spokesperson for the SFRS said: "Firefighters in breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet and a main jet to extinguish the fire, which they had under control by 7.47am. They then carried out damping down operations and used small tools and a thermal imaging camera to check for any remaining hot spots."

"The last appliances left the scene at 9.02am."
