Brechin railway starts fundraising page to repair fire damage

A crowdfunding appeal to raise cash for an Angus railway has raised over £1,000 in less than 24 hours.

The Caledonian Railway in Brechin was hit by a blaze which saw a 1940’s brakevan go up in flames.
The estimated damage was around £25,000 and volunteers have started an online fundraising page to help pay for the damage.
Police are investigating the fire which was started on Wednesday night between 1045 and 11pm.
