Kim Defends Kanye Over Disabled Fans Incident
Kim branded media reports about the incident, ‘lies’
Kim Kardashian has taken to Instagram to defend her husband, Kanye West, after negative press about a performance where he reportedly asked wheelchair bound concert goers to stand up.
Recent media headlines suggested that Kanye stopped his concert when he realised that not everyone was standing up, and refused to continue until every single person was on their feet. Awkwardly for Kanye, the reason some concert-goers were not standing was because they were disabled.
Whilst one person waved their prosthetic limb as ‘proof’, Kanye only continued the show after his bodyguard actually confirmed that the other person was in fact wheelchair-bound.
Kim however, branded these media reports ‘lies’ and clarified the situation in her post, saying:
“What an amazing Australian tour! Its frustrating that something so awesome could be clouded by lies in the media. Kanye never asked anyone in a wheel chair to stand up & the audience videos show that. He asked for everyone to stand up & dance UNLESS they were in a wheel chair. #JustWantedEveryoneToHaveAFunNight “
Although, some comments agree with Kim, many people are still unhappy with this explanation.
