E! News is reporting that Katy Perry has split from her long-term boyfriend, John Mayer.
So far the only details that have been confirmed are that the 29 year-old called time on the relationship in the “last few days”. Neither celebrity has commented on or mentioned the break-up on thier Twitter accounts.
The split follows John's absence during Katy's performance at the BRIT Awards last week.
This is the second time that the couple have been on the rocks after the relationship suffered a brief break-up last March.
The break-up comes as a shock following recent engagement rumours after Katy was spotted wearing a diamond ring on her engagement finger.
The couple were last seen together hand-in-hand on a romantic date in Hollywood on Valentine's Day where neither Katy nor John displayed any sign of relationship troubles.
