Ed Sheeran has revealed to the world that he was ‘Sleeping Rough’ for almost 2 and half years before hitting the world of fame. In his Autobiography ‘A Visual Journey’ he confesses that he even slept outside Buckingham Palace.

The 23 year old admits that he struggled during 2008, in his new book A Visual Journey, Ed writes, “I knew where I could get a bed at a certain time of night and I knew who I could call at any time to get a floor to sleep on. Being sociable helped. Drinking helped. ”. He continued: “I’d go out and play a gig, wait until 5am when the Underground opened, sleep on the Circle Line until 12, go to a session – and then repeat. It wasn’t even that bad.” The singer amazingly returned to Buckingham Palace in 2012 to perform at the Queen Elizabeth’s Diamond jubilee Concert.

Since his time on the streets Sheeran has become a huge success, he is set to perform at the MTV EMAs 2014 next month. He is also set to perform four shows at the London 02 Arena, all of which are sold out. He performed his first show in London last night.
