Pedestrian dies in hospital after Dundee bus collision

A 49-year-old woman suffered head injuries in the accident, which happened at around 11am in Johnston Avenue on Thursday.

A 49-year-old woman has died after being hit by a bus. Police Scotland said the pedestrian suffered head injuries in the accident involving a bus from the Xplore company at around 11am in Johnston Avenue, Dundee, on Thursday.

The woman was treated at the scene before being taken to the city's Ninewells Hospital, where police said she later died. Inquiries into the accident are ongoing and police have appealed for anyone who may have information that could assist officers with their probe to contact Tayside division. A report has been submitted to the procurator fiscal.
