Police investigating a robbery at a Dunkeld bank will return to the scene this morning. The Bank of Scotland branch on High Street was targeted on Tuesday, November 29, at around 11.25am.

Officers will be speaking to local residents, dog walkers and motorists to gather any further information that could assist with ongoing enquiries.

Since the time of the incident, officers have been going door to door and reviewing CCTV. It is hoped that a return to the scene will help to identify further witnesses who may have seen or heard suspicious activity, before, during or after the crime.

Detective Inspector Tom Leonard said: “I would appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time and who may have seen or heard anything suspicious to speak to our officers and help us with our enquiries.

“We are keen to trace the man shown in the images as we believe that he may have information that will assist us with our investigation. To help with his possible identification, I would ask that you disregard the grey box on the back of the man’s top that is shown in one of the images, as this is not part of his clothing, and it is understood that the back of his top is black in colour.

"He is further described as being white with fair eyebrows, between 20 and 30-years old, about 5"9 or 5"10, of medium build, wearing a black hooded top with a red or orange design on the front and blue jeans. He is understood to have a Perthshire accent.

“If you were in the area at the time and have any information, or if you know who this man is, I would encourage you to speak to our officers who will be in Dunkeld tomorrow between 10am and 1pm.”
