Woman arrested after man found in cardiac arrest in North Staffordshire village
The 43-year-old remains in custody.
Officers were called to a property on Rowhurst Crescent in Butt Lane at 4.45pm on Saturday 20 March by the ambulance service reporting a man in cardiac arrest.
The man, in his 30s, was taken to hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
An investigation is now underway.
A 43-year-old woman, from Newcastle-under-Lyme, has been arrested on suspicion of Section 23 offences agains the person. She remains in police custody.
