Nine-year-old raises hundreds for Royal Stoke in memory of godmother Tracey
Laurens swam more than 50-lengths for The Cancer Centre

A nine-year-old boy from Staffordshire who lost his godmother to cancer has swam more than 15-hundred-metres for charity - a day before what would have been her 50th birthday.
Laurens Rampling, from Caverswell, is raising money for The Cancer Centre at the Royal Stoke Hospital where his godmother Tracey Cartwright, who was from Porthill, was treated before she died.
Laurens said: "My Godmother was the best ever! She was the kindest, fun loving and most caring person I have known.
"Sadly just over two years ago, she became very ill and soon after past away from cancer. She left me too soon!"
Laurens set himself the challenge to swim more than 1500-metres at South Moorlands Leisure Centre in Cheadle, with a target of ÂŁ50.
After completing his last five lengths on Sunday evening, Laurens had smashed his target of ÂŁ50 by raising ÂŁ1000!
Laurens said: "This year would have been her 50th birthday. Sadly I cannot celebrate this with her, so instead I want to do something that I know she will love.
"Swimming was one her favourite sports, so I have decided that I am going to do a 50 Lengths Swimming Challenge!"
Mum to Laurens, Miranda Rampling told Hits Radio Staffordshire & Cheshire News: "There are not enough words to express how profoundly proud my husband and I are of Laurens. It truly shows how much one person can make a difference"
