Two men charged after armed robbery in Stoke supermarket

Two men have been charged after an armed robbery at a shop in Stoke-on-Trent.

At around 10.10pm on 27 July, we were called to a report of two men with a weapon at the Co-op on Keelings Road, Hanley.

Two men were arrested in the Manchester area by Greater Manchester Police last Wednesday (20 September).

Benjamin Thompson, 36, of Wythenshawe, and Wesley Shepherd, 39, of Sale, have both been charged with conspiracy to commit robbery and conspiracy to cause an explosion likely to endanger life.

Both men have been remanded into custody.
