Three arrests after reports of an armed threat made in Staffordshire
Police were called to an address in Newcastle-under-Lyme
Staffordshire Police say they have arrested three people after report a man was threatened with a machete in Newcastle-under-Lyme.
Officers were called to reports a had been causing disorder in Romney Avenue, Chesterton, shortly before 10am on Saturday 13 April.
Firearms officers attended the scene and recovered a large knife. No-one was injured.
A 43-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy, both from the Stafford area, were arrested on suspicion of affray. A 19-year-old man, from the Stoke-on-Trent area, was arrested on suspicion of being in possession of an offensive weapon.
All three remain in custody and police enquiries are ongoing.
