Police appeal for information after two teenagers shot in Norton

Detectives investigating the circumstances where two 13-year-old boys were shot at in Norton, Stoke-on-Trent, last night are urging the public to help with information.
Police were called at 10.05pm on Wednesday following the incident near to garages on Borrowdale Road, near Spragg House Lane.
Both boys were taken to hospital, one to the Royal Stoke University Hospital and one to Birmingham Children’s Hospital, and released later this afternoon.
A forensic examination of the scene has been taking place all day and continues.
Detective Inspector Pete Goodwin, from CID, said: “Detectives are working tirelessly to establish exactly what happened and who is responsible.
“I’m appealing for anyone with information or who saw what happened to get in touch with us as soon as possible, as they may have vital information."
“If you live in the area please check your CCTV and if you were driving in that area at around 10am last night please check your dashcam footage.
“Extra officers will be in the area to offer reassurance.”
What do Staffordshire Police know so far?
Detectives say the boys received injuries consistent with the discharge of a shotgun. They have been released from hospital and their conditions are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.
Work is ongoing to understand the circumstances of the incident and the type of weapon used.
