Stoke-on-Trent man charged with rape

The offences are reported to have taken place in the late 1990s.

A man from Stoke-on-Trent has been charged following a reported serious sexual assault of a girl under the age of 16.

62-year-old Randolph Peter Conteh will appear at Cannock Magistrates Court next month.

He faces the charge of rape in relation to offences reported to have taken place between 1996 and 1997.

Statement from Staffordshire Police:

"A man has been charged with rape a female under 16.

"Randolph Peter Conteh, 62, of Stoke-on-Trent, will appear before Cannock Magistrates’ Court on 18 June 2021.

"He has been charged following an investigation by the force’s CID.

"The offences are reported to have taken place between 1995 and 1997."
