Man taken to hospital after Hanley hit-and-run

The man - in his 20s - was reportedly flung in the air after being struck

An investigation's underway after a man sustained minor injuries during a non-stop collision in Stoke-on-Trent, on Saturday (12 March).

At approximately 8:15pm, it was reported that a black car had come into collision with a pedestrian whilst driving erratically on Potteries Way, who was flung in the air as a result.

The vehicle did not remain at the scene and left in the direction of Lichfield Street.

A man, in his 20s, was treated at the scene by paramedics and transported to hospital as a precaution.

He has since been discharged.

Police are currently reviewing CCTV of the area and conducting local enquiries.

It’s believed that the suspect vehicle may be a VW make.
