Motorcyclist airlifted to hospital after crash in Cannock

The woman was flown to the Royal Stoke following the collision

A motorcyclist has been airlifted to one of the region’s Major Trauma Centres after a collision with a car this morning in Cannock.

West Midlands Ambulance Service was called at 9:47am (Friday) to the island of the A460 and A519. Two ambulances, a paramedic officer, and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford attended the scene.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “Crews arrived at the scene to find the motorcyclist, a woman, with serious injuries.

“She was given specialist trauma care at the scene before being flown to Royal Stoke University Hospital, with treatment continuing on route.”
