Man injured in XL Bulley attack in Staffordshire
It happened in Stoke-on-Trent yesterday evening
A man has suffered "serious injuries" after being attacked by an XL Bulley in Stoke.
Emergency crews were called to a Ellgreave Street in the Burslem area at around 9pm yesterday evening (1 November).
It's thought the man suffered injuries, after trying to intervene when a dog started to attack two other dogs.
He suffered serious arm injuries and has been taken to hospital.
In a statement, Staffordshire Police said: "Shortly after 9pm this evening (1 November) we were called to Ellgreave Street in Burslem following reports of a dog attack.
"Members of the public tried to intervene as a dog, believed to be an XL Bully, attacked two other dogs.
"We have contained the dog and officers remain at the scene."
A 22-year-old woman from Stoke-on-Trent, and a 29-year-old man of no fixed address, have been arrested on suspicion of owning a dog that is dangerously out of control. They are currently being questioned.
