Man 'falls from height' near Potteries Centre in Hanley

There was nothing paramedics could do to save the man

A man has died after reportedly falling from a height near the Potteries Centre in Stoke-on-Trent.

Paramedics were called just after lunchtime today to the junction of Bryan Street and Brewery Street, in Hanley.

Nothing could be done to save the man, according to paramedics.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called at 12.17pm to the junction of Bryan Street and Brewery Street, Hanley, Stoke on Trent. Two ambulances, a paramedic officer and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Tatenhill with two critical care paramedics on board attended the scene.

"Crews arrived to find a man who had reportedly fallen from height and was in a critical condition. Ambulance staff administered advanced trauma care on scene but sadly nothing could be done to save the man and he was confirmed deceased at the scene."
