Man, 23, dies after hit-and-run in Crewe

Cheshire Police are supporting the family of the victim

A 23-year-old man has died after a hit-and-run collision in Crewe yesterday evening.

At 5.30pm on 5 November a man was crossing the pedestrian crossing outside McDonalds in Macon Way, when a white van collided with him.

The van failed to stop at the scene and is believed to have significant front end damage.

Anyone who has seen a white van with front end damage, or has been asked to fix a van with this damage is being asked to contact police.

The victim's family have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: "Anyone with information should contact police via the website quoting IML 1125388. Alternatively contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
