Man charged with Stoke-on-Trent murder

A man has been charged with murder following the death of a man in Stoke-on-Trent.

Police were called to an address at Cromwell Court, Stoke-on-Trent, at around 6.30pm on Monday (8 August) following reports of a sudden death.

Officers attended as did colleagues from West Midlands Ambulance Service.

Florin Dumitru Ciurar, aged 37,who was formally identified yesterday (Thursday 11 August), was pronounced dead by paramedics a short time later.

Specially-trained officers are supporting Florin’s family.

Nathan Miotk, aged 45, of no-fixed-address, has since been charged with murder.

He remains in police custody ahead of an appearance before magistrates due at North Staffordshire Justice Centre today (Friday 12 August).
