Man charged after two teenage boys shot in Stoke-on-Trent

The 13-year-olds were left with injuries believed to be from a shotgun

A man has been charged after two teenage boys were injured in Stoke-on-Trent last week.

Police were called at 10.05pm on Wednesday 27 October following the incident near to garages on Borrowdale Road, near Spragg House Lane, Norton.

Two 13-year-old boys received injuries consistent with the discharge of a shotgun. They were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and were discharged the next day.

Kacy John Daniel Flynn, 24, of Chillington Way, Norton, Stoke-on-Trent, has been charged with two counts of possess a shotgun with intent to endanger life and three counts of Section 18 – wounding with intent.

He appeared before magistrates at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre on Monday 1 November 2021.

As of Tuesday 2 November, Kacy Flynn has been remanded in custody ahead of his next court appearance later this month.

Staffordshire Police say in a statement that it is being treated as an isolated incident and there is not believed to be a wider threat to the local community.
