A man accused of planting fake bombs at the air base has appeared in court.

21-year-old Daniel Abed Khalife has also been charged with a terror offence.

It relates to a bomb hoax in January this year.

Mr. Khalife is also accused of eliciting information about forces personnel for purposes that could be "useful" to a terrorist, in August 2021.

During the alleged bomb hoax, he's accused of leaving three canisters with wires "with the intention of inducing in another a belief that the said item was likely to explode or ignite" and cause injury or damage to a property.

He's been remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey on February 17th.
