One person injured after lorry overturns on M6 in Cheshire

Two lanes of the southbound carriageway were closed for a time this morning

One person's been treated by paramedics after a lorry overturned on the M6 in Cheshire.

Emergency services were sent to the collision on the M6 southbound between junctions 17 and 16 at around 06:30 this morning. Fire crews from Crewe, Sandbach and Alsager attended, along with the Major Rescue Unit from Winsford.

When crews arrived, they found the collision involved a saloon car and a HGV,

Two lanes of the carriageway were temporarily closed while firefighters made the vehicles safe.

There were no reports of any serious injuries, although one person was treated by paramedics.

The crew were detained at the scene for around 40 minutes.
