Father and son from Macclesfield charged after drugs seized

The pair were arrested nearly two weeks ago.

A father and son have been charged after officers seized quantities of illegal drugs in Macclesfield.

Desmond Clark and his son Nathan Clark, both of Sanders Square, Macclesfield, were arrested in the town in the early hours of Tuesday 18 February 2020.

They have since both been issued with postal requisitions ordering them to appear at Stockport Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 1 April.

Nathan Clark, 24, will answer to charges of being concerned in the supply of class A drug cocaine and class B drug cannabis.

Desmond Clark, 52, will answer to charges of permitting the use of his premises for the supply of the illegal drugs.

The charges relate to a search that officers conducted at a property in Sanders Square, Macclesfield, in the early hours of Tuesday 18 February 2020.

Quantities of illegal drugs were seized from the address.
