Woman injured after stray dog attack at Cannock golf course

Staffordshire Police are urging people to be vigilant

A woman has been left injured after being attacked by a large dog in Cannock.

Police were called to Beau Desert Golf Course last Friday morning.

The victim was taken to Walsall Manor Hospital with minor injuries.

The breed of the dog is unknown, and people in the area are being asked to be vigilant.

A Staffordshire Police spokesperson said: "Police were called to an incident at Cannock Golf Course on 3 September around 10.15am. A woman was attacked by a large dog and received minor injuries. The victim was taken to Walsall Manor Hospital.

"The breed of the dog who attacked the woman is unknown.

"Police have asked residents to remain vigilant. Contact Staffordshire Police on Facebook, Twitter, or call 101, quoting incident number 238 of 3 September."
