Deputy council leader to stand down
It follows the controversial demolition of a statue at Festival Park

Cllr Daniel Jellyman has served as a prominent figure in local politics for some time.
He'd held the post of Cabinet Member for Heritage since 2017, as well as Deputy leader at Stoke-on-Trent City Council from 2020.
His resignation surrounds the controversial demolition of the 10ft Josiah Wedgewood statue on Festival Park a few weeks ago.
He states in a published letter to leader Cllr Abi Brown:
"I was given advice the statue could not survive.." and,
"..would have to be removed for the Etruria Valley Link Road to progress."
Cllr Jellyman goes on to say that it could have been preserved and says,
"My error - is a huge regret."
He'll remain as a backbench Conservative councillor in the local authority.
