Search for driver who fled scene after crashing into two parked cars in Stoke-on-Trent

Officers attended and found a BMW had crashed into two stationary vehicles

An investigation is underway after a driver crashed into two parked cars in Stoke-on-Trent before fleeing the scene.

Emergency services were called to London Road, in Oakhill on Friday night last week.

The driver of a BMW had left before police arrived.

Officers are now appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage.

A Staffordshire Police spokesperson said: "Police were called at 10.47pm on Friday (21 August) to London Road, Stoke-on-Trent, following reports of a collision. Officers attended and found a three-vehicle crash. A black BMW Coupe was in collision with two stationary vehicles - a white Peugeot 208 and a Fiat 500.

"The driver of the BMW, a male, reportedly fled the scene. He is described as tall, with a dark beard, wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt and grey jogging bottoms. Officers informed Highways England in order to clear debris from the road.

"Officers are carrying out inquiries and anyone who saw what happened or has dashcam footage of the area at the time is asked to contact Staffordshire Police on Facebook, Twitter, or call 101, quoting incident number 853of 21 August. Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
