Investigation launched after attempted arson in Stoke-on-Trent village

An investigation is underway after an attempted arson at a property in Stoke-on-Trent.

Police were called to Hollywall Lane, in Sandyford last night - part of the road was cordoned off until earlier today.

Three men were seen leaving the area in a light-coloured Ford Fiesta following the incident.

There have been no reports of any injuries.

A Staffordshire Police spokesperson said: "Police were called at 10.25pm last night (Tuesday 16 November) to reports of an attempted arson at a property on Hollywall Lane, Sandyford.

"No-one was injured.

"Three men were seen leaving the area in a light-coloured Ford Fiesta after the incident.

"Anyone with any information should message Staffordshire Police on Facebook or Twitter quoting incident number 722 of 16 November, call 101 or alternatively contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
