Arrests after Leek Christmas Day car fire

Two men have been arrested, following a car fire in Leek on Christmas day, which police believe was started deliberately.

Officers were called to Elm Close around 7.15pm on Saturday evening.

Staffordshire Fire and Rescue crews also attended, to make the area safe.

Nobody was injured.

In a statement, Staffordshire Police added: 'Two men, aged 58 and 41, from Leek, were arrested a short time later on suspicion of arson.

'Enquiries are continuing.

'Anyone with any information or relevant CCTV footage is asked to contact Staffordshire Police on Facebook or Twitter, quoting incident 433 of 25 December, or call 101. Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0880 555 111.'
