Officers are appealing for information from the public following the theft of high value plant machinery in Rode Heath.

On Monday it was reported a tractor had been stolen between the evening of Friday 17 February and the early hours of Monday 20 February.

Police attended the scene at a maintenance site on Knutsford Road, conducted a search of the area and found that an orange Kubota low loader, worth £12,000, had been stolen.

It is believed thieves gained access by removing the tractor, cutting off the padlocks securing it inside a shipping container.

Nearby CCTV footage revealed that a person, dressed in a hoodie and jogging bottoms carrying a large carrier bag, was seen acting suspiciously outside the address at 3:55am on Monday 20 February. A vehicle, which was possibly seen carrying a low loader trailer, was also later spotted passing the site on Knutsford Road at 5:05am.
