Man seriously injured after fall from first floor of Staffordshire's Affinity Outlet

A man is in hospital with serious injuries after falling from the first floor of the Affinity Outlet shopping centre in North Staffordshire.

Emergency services were called to the site in Talke yesterday afternoon.

The man was rushed to hospital on blue lights.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called to Affinity Outlet, Pit Lane, Kidsgrove at 3.05pm to reports of a patient who had fallen from height.

"An ambulance, paramedic officer and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Tatenhill with two paramedics on board attended the scene.

"Crews arrived to find a man who had sustained serious injuries. He was given treatment on scene before being conveyed by land ambulance on blue lights to hospital."
