2,500 cannabis plants seized at residential building in Stoke-on-Trent

Police are now trying to find those responsible

Police are investigating after more than 2,000 cannabis plants were discovered in a residential premises in Stoke-on-Trent last week.

Officers were called at 3.30pm on Friday (18 March) following reports of suspicious activity at a property off Liverpool Road.

They attended and discovered a substantial grow – spanning six rooms of the second floor of the property, including lights and extractor fans.

A total of 2,500 plants were seized and Western Power attended to isolate electricity at the site.

Prior to police arrival, two males are believed to leave the premises through a fire exit at the rear - leading onto a car-park opposite Kings Hall.

Officers are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity or those who may have CCTV or dashcam footage of the area on the afternoon of 18 March.
