14 year old arrested after teenager stabbed in Wilmslow

A 14-year-old boy has been arrested after another teenager was stabbed in Wilmslow.

The boy, who is also 14, was attacked at about 9:35 last night on Dean Row Road.

He's being treated at the Manchester Children's Hospital where his condition is described as stable.

Detective Sergeant Cameron Mair said: “Enquiries in relation to this incident are ongoing and we are committed to doing all we can to establish exactly what has taken place.

“As part of our investigation we are urging anyone who was in the area and witnessed the incident, or anything else that may aid our investigation, to get in touch.

“The same goes for anyone with any CCTV or dashcam footage that may be relevant to our investigation.”

Chief Inspector David Moores, head of Macclesfield Local Policing Unit, added: “This type of incident is extremely rare in the Wilmslow area and I understand the concern that it is likely to cause.

“I’d like to reassure the public that patrols are being stepped up in the area and anyone with any concerns should approach an officer.

“I would also urge anyone with any information in relation to the incident to get in touch.”
