Woman punched to the floor by man in Blackpool as investigation launched
The woman in her 20s had to be taken to hospital
An investigation has been launched after a woman was punched to the floor by a man in Blackpool.
She suffered facial injuries after it happened on Queens Square in the early hours of Sunday.
No arrests have been made and any witnesses are being asked to come forward.
Statement from Lancashire Police:
"We were called around 2.45am on Sunday (June 27) to a report of an assault in Blackpool.
"A woman in her 20s reported being punched to the floor by a man in Queens Square.
"The woman suffered facial injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
"No arrests have been made and an investigation is underway.
"Anyone with information can contact police on 101 quoting log 0275 of June 27."
