Woman left with broken jaw after attack in Preston

Police would like to speak to these two people in connection with the incident

A young woman has suffered a broken jaw after reportedly being punched in Preston.

Police were called to reports that a woman had been attacked in the early hours of Friday morning (around 3.25am, 23rd July) outside Replay Bar in Main Sprit Weind, off Church Street.

The 20-year-old - who was accting as a peacemaker in a fight between two woman - lost several teeth and was taken to the Royal Preston for treatment.

Detectives are appealing for information to identify this man and woman (pictured above) in connection with the assault investigation following CCTV enquiries.

Det Con Gary Brackley, of Preston CID, said: “This is a police appeal to identify two people following a particularly nasty and unprovoked attack.

“The victim was acting as a peacemaker in a fight between two women when she was assaulted. Given the injuries and circumstances of the attack we are urging witnesses to come forward to assist with identifying the individuals responsible.

“We are particularly keen to speak to this man and woman who we believe can assist our enquiries.”
