The wife of a Preston man killed in a crash on the M62 on Good Friday has paid tribute to him.

In a social media post, Karen Chester said "Karl's smile is deep inside our hearts.

"He may be gone but will never be forgotten, he's left our sides but that is all. He was strong and witty, caring and brake. He was never one for tears and a charade. Please I ask you to remember our life, it's a light that will burn bright, just somewhere different tonight. Rest easy my love and ride those skies for us."

Meanwhile, police say they want to hear from anyone who has dash-cam footage of the collision.

It happened on Friday close to the slip road at Junction 22 near Rochdale.

The 36 year old was seriously injured and died at the scene after the motorbike he was riding was involved in a collision with a car.

Karen has asked her friends for stories of Karl, to pass on to their three children.

She said: "It does not matter how long you have known him. We want to hear them. Also, any photos you may have of him. My children are very strong but are still so young and I would like to show them how loved their dad was and still is by so many. To a lot this may seem too much but to us it would mean a lot.
