Hollywood superstars, sporting champions, entertainers and local celebs are sending messages of love and support to an 11 year old boy from Lancaster.

Tom was hit by a police car on the evening of Friday 26th June and remains in a critical conditon in hospital.

A spokesperson for Lancashire Constabulary said:

"An investigation is under way to establish the full circumstances that led to the collision. We have voluntarily referred this matter to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC), as is standard with an incident of this nature.”

His family have now set up the Facebook page 'doing it for Tom' which is dedicated to getting celebrities to send their well wishes to Tom, who remains in a critical condition.

A statement on the page says:

"On Thursday 25th May 2023, 11 year old Thomas was involved in an accident when he was hit by a vehicle in Lancaster.

"After being rushed to Lancaster's RLI (Royal Lancaster Infirmary), Tom was later transferred in a critical condition to Liverpool's Alder Hey Children's hospital.

"Tom remains in hospital after several days on life support. Thanks to the amazing care teams, he's now out of a coma and is in a High Dependency Unit. Until he wakes up fully, we won't know Tom's long term outlook, only that it'll be a very long road ahead for him.

"The aim of this page is to flood it with celebrity videos, surrounded by positive messages of support from the community. We're hoping that when Tom eventually wakes up, he'll be able to see, hear and read the various messages to help motivate and inspire him on the long road ahead."

World Champion Boxer, Lancashire's own Tyson Fury, Hollywood Superstar, Spiderman actor, Tom Holland, and Manchester United Legend Gary Neville are among those to send their well-wishes so far.

They've been joined by TV's, Mike Bushell, Hacker T Dog, Jeremy Kyle and former footballers Dion Dublin and David May.
