Three thousand knives seized in Blackpool police crackdown
A man has been arrested in Blackpool after police seized over 3000 knives in a raid yesterday afternoon (4th July).
The weapons included 'Zombie knives', Samurai Swords, machetes, hunting knives and crossbows.
A large quantity of edible drugs marketed towards children were also seized.
Blackpool's Neighbourhood policing team were acting on intelligence from the community and were supported by the Blackpool Council Communities Safety Team and Trading Standards who also seized significant quantities of illicit e-cigarettes.
A man has been arrested on suspicion of being Concerned in the Supply of Drugs, Possession of Offensive Weapons, Possession of Class A Drugs and a Religiously Motivated Public Order.
Police say they will continue to work with partners and that this kind of behaviour will not be tolerated.
