Teen charged in connection with Carnforth stabbing

A teenager had to be airlifted to hospital after the incident on Saturday evening

Police have charged a teenage boy after another teen was stabbed in Carnforth on Saturday evening.

Emergency services were called to Lancaster Road at 6.32pm after reports of disorder, and found the teen had been stabbed. He was airlifted in hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

A 14 year old boy from Morecambe was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. Lancashire Police have now charged the boy, who can't be named for legal reasons, and he is due to appear in court today.

A 15-year-old girl from Carnforth arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender has been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses, and have asked anyone who saw anything to contact police on 101, quoting log 1276 of June 3, 2023.
