Even more Covid-19 vaccination clinics are popping up in Lancashire - this time in Rossendale.

They'll be opening in Rawtenstall and Haslingden over the next week, bringing vaccines closer to people in those areas.

Anyone eligible over the age of 18 can get their first jab at the sites.

If you're not sure if that's you, you can pop down and have a chat with the clinicians who will be on hand to answer questions and address any concerns people might have.

You don't need an appointment, just walk in to:

  • Town Centre Square, Rawtenstall – Saturday, June 5th – 10am to 4pm
  • Salem Street car park, Haslingden – Tuesday, June 8th – 10am to 4pm

Jane Scattergood, Covid-19 Vaccination Director for Lancashire and South Cumbria, said: “These pop-up vaccination sites mean people have more opportunities to get their vaccination at a time and place that suits them. As long as you are eligible, please come forward.

“I also want to again say a huge thank you to all our staff and partners who are working hard on the delivery of the vaccination programme.”

Neil Shaw, Chief Executive at Rossendale Council said: ”It’s great that people can turn up without an appointment and get vaccinated in Rossendale and we’d encourage people to come down and check they are eligible.

“We want to make sure that we’re doing as much as possible in Rossendale to control the virus and by making vaccination sites such as these available as well as increased testing will help us achieve that.”
