Police appealing for witnesses after Boxing Day crash on East Lancs Road

Merseyside Police are appealing for witnesses following a road traffic collision involving three vehicles on East Lancashire Road in St Helens on Boxing Day.

At around 6.15pm on Monday 26th December, it was reported that a grey Fiat Punto, a grey Honda Civic and black BMW 435, were involved in a collision which resulted in a female passenger suffering multiple serious injuries.

Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the collision, and anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information or dash camera footage which can help with the investigation is asked to contact police.

Sgt Simon Duffy from the Matrix Roads Policing Unit said: “This collision happened on the East Lancs Road, near Houghtons Lane, and at time when people may have been out walking and visiting family, so we are keen for anyone who witnessed the incident to please get in touch with us.

“Likewise, if you have any dashcam footage or CCTV footage from the surrounding area which captured the vehicles involved prior to the collision that may assist our investigation then please contact us."
