Man seriously injured after trying to move firework thrown near child in Blackpool
An investigation has been launched
A man has suffered a serious injury after trying to move a firework which had been thrown close to a child in Blackpool.
It happened at around 1:40pm yesterday on Seasiders Way.
The man, aged in his 50s, was treated by officers at the scene and later taken to Royal Preston Hospital for further treatment.
An investigation into the circumstances around the injury is ongoing.
Police are looking to hear from anyone who saw the incident or who has any mobile phone footage.
