Man charged with murder of Daniel Allsop in Blackpool
He was found unconscious in the town on Monday afternoon
A man has been charged with the murder of Daniel Allsop, who was found unconscious at a Mcdonalds in Blackpool.
The 38 year old was assaulted on Bethesda Road at around 4.30pm on Monday 2 October. A short time later he collapsed in the entrance to a Mcdonalds on Bank Hey Road, and had to be rushed to hospital.
Daniel died of his injuries two days later.
Following enquiries, a 29-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested on suspicion of murder on Friday.
Police have now confirmed that Mali Wright, 29, has been charged with Daniel's murder. The man, of no fixed abode, will appear before Blackpool Magistrates Court this morning.
In a statement, Lancashire Police say: "We are continuing to appeal for witnesses and are particularly keen to hear from anybody who saw a disturbance or anything suspicious on Bethesda Road at around 4.30pm on Monday.
"We would also ask people to check their dashcam, doorbell, CCTV and any mobile phone footage from the area to see if they have captured anything which could help our inquiry."
