Man arrested in connection with Wigan stabbing
Police in Wigan have arrested a 32-year-old man in connection with a stabbing in the area. He is in currently in custody for questioning.
It happened in the early hours of yesterday morning on Victoria Road, Platt Bridge.
The victim, a man in his 40s, is still in hospital after having surgery on his injuries.
In a statement the police said:
"A 31-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a stabbing in Wigan and remains in custody for questioning.
"At around 5.25am on Thursday 6 May 2021, police were called to Victoria Road, Platt Bridge, and a man in his 40s was taken to hospital where he remains after surgery.
