Grenade removed from Lancashire town
The incident happened on Saturday afternoon
A grenade had to be removed by bomb disposal experts in Darwen town centre.
The incident was first reported at Railway Road at around 2pm on Saturday, after the item was discovered.
A wide corden had been put in place by Lancashire police put a wide cordon, police and firefighters were situated in the area.
Specialist experts from the army's bomb disposal unit were asked to attend the scene.
With the item being removed by the force.
