A major appeal for information's being made exactly two weeks on from a man's disappearance in Padiham.

Lancashire Police believe Peter Beason may still be in the town or potentially in Burnley.

The 58 year old was last seen in person in the Station Road area on the 22nd March.

He was also spotted on CCTV there a day later holding a box and an umbrella near the local medical centre car park.

Since then there's been no sign of Peter and concerns are growing for his welfare.

Anyone with dashcam footage or any other information is being urged to contact officers, as a search operation continues.

PC Mike Spencer from Burnley Police said:

“Peter has been missing now for some time and we are really concerned for his welfare.

“We are really keen to trace any motorists driving on Station Road on March 23, between 5.05pm and 5.30pm. Did you see Peter? Do you have dashcam footage which could help us?

“Anything, no matter how seemingly insignificant, could be crucial to helping us find him.

“If anyone has any information, please call 101 or email forcecontrolroom@lancashire.police.uk quoting log 0511 of March 26.”
