The fire involves scrapped cars and metal

Fire crews are tackling a blaze at an industrial estate in Preston involving scrap metal and cars.
Around 70 firefighters are at the scene.
People nearby are being told to keep their doors and windows closed because of the thick, black smoke.
Witnesses say they can see the plumes of smoke from as far as Blackburn.
Longridge Road is closed from Bluebell Way to the junction with The Hills as a result. Police are also advising motorists to avoid junction 31A of the M6 because of smoke travelling across the carriageway.
