Fans have been weighing in on the announcement that Preston North End manager Alex Neil has left the club by mutual consent.
The club released a statement yesterday afternoon, saying he leaves with their thanks and very best wishes.
Saturday's defeat to Luton in the Championship means the Lilywhites have won just three games in 17 - and just once in their last nine, leaving them nine points clear of the relegation zone.
One fan told us avoiding relegation is the most important thing:
"We're in relegation form at the minute and any team we play against are going to fancy their chances against us so I just hope that whoever comes in can turn it around and get the team playing.
"The start of this season, everybody was so optimistic that Alex Neil could get us to the playoffs because we'd been close. I don't know what's gone wrong this season. It's really disappointing.
"When you think about it, Wycombe Wanderers doing the triple over us this season - it's absolutely diabolical.
"Time for a change in my opinion."
After yesterday's defeat, Neil said Preston's struggles were one of the most difficult moments of his management career.
Frankie McAvoy will take up the position of interim Head Coach.
But their next game isn't for another 11 days against top of the table, Norwich City.
