Elderly woman injured after being hit by car in Pendle

An elderly woman has been left in a serious condition after being hit by a car in Pendle.

The 76-year-old was hit by a Volvo XC90 while she was crossing Vivary Way in Colne at around 8.15am yesterday (15th April).

She was taken to hospital with head and pelvic injuries where she remains in a stable condition.

Sgt Lee Harris said: “We need anyone who may have seen what happened to make contact as they could assist with our investigation.

“If you witnessed this collision or were in the area and your vehicle is equipped with a dash cam, please make contact with us at your earliest opportunity.”
